As a child I watched a lot of cartoons and kept my eyes glued to the TV; as a result, I now wear glasses, but more importantly, my artistic interest grew. I wanted to become a Cartoonist, or Cartoon Animator, as soon as I started drawing. Once I got better, and my drawings were more recognizable, I began creating my own comics. After I got the ‘hang’ of doing comics, I turned my attention toward animation. Using my own money, I bought animation software, taught myself how to navigate through the program, and even created my own pieces of cartoon animation. Of course, it didn’t compare to some of my best 2D work on paper, but I did gain recognition from my friends and family who saw the creations. Today, I’m still drawing comics, practicing my creative abilities to their fullest extent, and studying graphic design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
